I’m Naureen Hunani, a Montreal-based nutritionist / registered dietitian, a mom of two and a nutrition expert for Mom Talk on Breakfast Television. As a mom I can relate to other parents when it comes to feeding kids. Feeding children can be complicated! I’ve been helping families overcome their nutritional challenges for over a decade. What I am most passionate about is helping children and adults develop a good relationship with food. I am a certified SOS feeding therapist, focusing on children who are picky eaters and problem feeders.
I believe that our early experiences with food impact the food choices we make later in life. My approach is holistic/integrative, personal and catered to your lifestyle. The tools I employ do not simply focus on food itself but also on your attitude towards food, the eating environment, the language used surrounding food and mindful eating. I am passionate about whole foods, investing time for meal preparation and involving children in the process from the grocery store to the kitchen!
I am a member of l’Ordre Professionnel des Diététistes du Québec, Centre of Mindful eating and Dietitians of Canada. I continue to broaden my current knowledge of Nutrition by attending seminars, workshops and completing advance courses. I believe that as a professional, it is my duty to provide my clients with the most up to date information. I also take great pride in training other professionals and supporting them in their careers.
Other amusements near and dear to my heart, include: spending quality time with friends and family, reading and going on nature walks.
